Randy Speer of the Daily Star Journal kicks off the partnership with KNHS publication classes.

The digital media and digital publication classes at Knob Noster High School are teaming up with the staff of the Daily Star Journal to continue to improve coverage of county wide events.  This relationship will allow students to submit their photos of school and community events to the Daily Star Journal which allows the DSJ staff to cover other events. Daily Star Journal staff members address publication classesDerek Brizendine, managing editor and Randy Speer, sports editor met with the classes on August 29 and 30 to discuss the opportunity, expectations and procedures. Instructor Neva Allen commented, “When students know that their work is going to be seen by the entire DSJ coverage area, they work even harder to get the best shots of their classmates.  It also lets them work under tight deadlines developing job readiness skills.” Community members wanting to follow along with the coverage may access the DSJ Now application.
