Bio

I have a wife and three sons all active in multiple Knob Noster Sports. We are local Knob residents and have a hobby farm with a few head of cattle. I recently graduated with my Education Degree from UCM. I am a retired United States Navy Chief Petty Officer.  In my first career I was a Nuclear Electronics Technician and Reactor Operator Supervisor on USS Enterprise (CVN-65), as well as serving as a mechanic (and eventually Project Management in my latter years) with Norfolk Naval Shipyard, repairing both ships and Submarines. I was lucky enough in my first career to gain quite a bit of experience fixing complex equipment and training young men and women from all corners of the United States both the science behind and actual hands on implementation of many forms of exciting technology.  In my personal life I am a classical “Shop Rat”, and have built and restored engines and hot rods for most of my adult life, as well as forays into everything from cabinetmaking to blacksmithing. That life experience, combined with some of the modern educational tools that I have been equipped with in my last few years of school at UCM, makes me feel confident that I will be able to make a positive impact on your student’s time in the technology and engineering program here at Knob Noster High School and help to prepare them for their future in todays's competitive global economy, whether that be turning wrenches and swinging hammers or designing and engineering high tech solutions to problems.
