KNHS is awarded $10,000 to build a makerspace.

Becky Woods, librarian; Mrs, Morris, principal; Mr. Easterwood, asst. principal were awarded a check for $10,000 at the Royals game on Wednesday. The grant was awarded from 610 Sports Radio and the Sheet Metal Workers No. 2 of Kansas City

Mrs. Woods applied for the funds to build a makerspace that focuses on robotics, coding, and studio (film and audio) production. The makerspace will be located in the conference room in the high school library media center.

"We will use the funds to purchase a green screen, lights, presentation software, robotics kits, Lego Mindstorms, 3D printer, and arduinos," Mrs. Woods explained.
