Parent-Teacher Conferences are a wonderful opportunity for you to become acquainted with your child’s teachers and discuss his/her educational progress.  When parents and teachers talk to each other, lines of communication are opened up that allow you to be on the same team concerning the success of your child. Conferences are a time for you to ask questions about your child's strengths and growth areas in each of their classes. They are also an opportunity to share areas which you know to be your child's strengths at home, such as skills, interests, needs, and dreams. When you share this information, you and the teachers are able to collaboratively design a plan that will allow you to work together to help address some of your child's challenges.

When you arrive on campus for conferences, please pick up your child’s report card at the office.  From there you may visit teachers at your convenience.

In addition to conferences, there are some additional events planned for the evening of October 21.

· Junior Parent Night will be held in the Library Media Center at 5:30.  If you are the parent of a junior student, you will want to attend in order to receive information to help your child plan and prepare for their post-secondary goals.

· We will also be celebrating the academic accomplishments of our students who earned an Academic Letter for the 2014-2015 School Year at 6:30 in the gymnasium.  If your child earned an Academic Letter, their invitation is included in this mailing.

Parent-Teacher Conferences are a two-way conversation and your questions and input are vital to your child’s success. We look forward to seeing you and hope you will make every effort to attend this important event, as you are a critical part of your child’s instructional team.  If you are not able to attend during the scheduled times, we would like to meet whenever you are available.
